Chances are that we’ll not have any Kensington Tibetan Terrier puppies available until 2023. We are a small breeding program and are currently reserved by applications with deposits until well into 2023. However, we also allow our enquiring peeps to share their list of wishes and wants with us and that often includes gender, coat color, coat pattern and other attributes over which we have no control. So, that said? You never know what Mother Nature is going to provide and I mean that sincerely!

We live in Vermont full time, enjoying life in the historic village of Stowe with a snow-loving breed. It is 15 degrees Fahrenheit today and the sun is shining. Winter is here.

Nico will be competing in January 2023 down in Brooksville, FL, along with Sienna, his half sister. They are out pursuing their first AKC CH Conformation titles. Tashi is out, too, although confining his travel to New England and only 5 points and one Major shy of his CH title.
In February 2019, Questa and his mother GRCHB Kensington’s 1st Dance with Michael (Billie Jean) competed in the Westminster ring together, a mother and son duo! Questa was awarded a ribbon and a medal for the Award of Merit, our first Westminster ribbon! Questa swept the Connecticut conformation competitions during the May 14-16, 2021 shows with 5 point Majors and Best of Breed wins on all three days. He has retired and been living with us here in Stowe, since September 2021. Becky finished him to the #6 US TT for 2020 and that was better than his mum’s 2016 #13 US TT position. He has finished in the Top 20 three times and we’ve got the rosettes by which to remember those fabulous placements for a long time to come.

If you’d like to learn more about us? You are welcome to introduce yourself/yourselves with details of your experience in the breed and/or with dogs you’ve raised. Applications and a visit to my home are both required. I put too much of myself and my heart into raising these little buggers to release them willy nilly. We seek the best possible pet homes for our hand raised puppies and that means we consider folks from all across North America. There are Kensington TTs in residence from San Francisco to Portland, Maine; south to Texas and north to Quebec.

My wife and I lost our TT to cancer in early November and would like to get a TT puppy in the spring or early summer. We are friends with Karen Lewis and loved her new TT, Sophie, who we met yesterday. We would be deleriously happy to get one just like Sophie. Good morning, Barry!
It could be today. It might be tomorrow. Now is the time that I get nervous. On the one hand, I’ve always believed that being nervous heightens your ‘awareness’. I just wish that I could be in ‘heightened awareness’ mode, without being nervous! My dear friend Cheryl is here and my favorite vet tech on the planet will be arriving this afternoon. Gigi loves her vet tech and that might prompt her to go into labor. We shall see and we shall keep you posted!

We have had 5 Tibetan Terriers since 1978 and have two now. We want to get another Tibetan Terrier this year and we would like to be eligible for one of your girls or boys. We have always shown our dogs to become Champions and further the breed. Please let us know whether we can be considered.

We are in the middle of preparations for the arrival of our first litter of 2016. It is a repeat breeding of my Gigi to my Oskar. I chose to repeat this breeding, as I liked so many of the characteristics and behaviours of the puppies from Gigi and Oskar’s first litter in 2014. This will be her third and final litter. All of the puppies have forever homes who’ve been eagerly awaiting their arrival. It is an exciting time and always finds me in a slightly nervous state. Our favorite vet tech will be arriving this afternoon for a visit and Gigi loves Jenifer. Her excitement may well stimulate contractions and then, the fun will truly begin.
I look forward to continuing our discussion and would welcome you and your family for a visit to our home in Stowe, Vermont. Toward that end, I will leave the ball in your court . . .

My husband and I are searching fo a TT puppy to join our family. We had a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel for 12 joy filled years…he passed several years ago. After extensive research and thought we are so very ready to bring a puppy into our lives. Our children are grown and it is just the two of us at home now…we have a lovely home with a fenced yard. We would be grateful for the opportunity to visit…I am so impressed by your apparent love and care for this beautiful breed…

My wife and I lost our beloved 10 year old TT Pandi to heart failure this past weekend, Oct 13 2018 and are ourselves now extremely heartbroken. I know that our future would be much brighter if we could add a TT to our lives in the future. Unfortunately the breeder we purchased Pandi from recently passed, (Lorraine Simon of Ketara Kennels, NJ), and I am exploring sources for a purchase in the summer of 2019. Ideally a Black and White coat TT but would consider any. Could you please let me know how best to pursue this through you. I have had four tibetian terriers and was wondering if you had any black and white female puppies available I live in Massachusetts but would make the trip to VT. I love the breed and have lost two to lymphoma, one to old age and one to and enlarged esophagus after surgery. I would be interested in one if possible over the summer. In the meantime, I can tell you that demand for my puppies exceeds my availability to breed and raise them – so, people usually have to wait some months (or longer) to get what they seek. At this time, we are expecting a litter to arrive within days – but all puppies are already reserved by applications with deposits. I am planning my next breedings for August/September and that will give us available puppies at the tail end of the year and early 2020. My Clara love was very independent and strong willed which I loved about her, but am interested in what you write about the difference in temperament with the boys.

I am so sorry to read your news and can fully empathize with your pain, as I’ve been there several times. While we can’t imagine live with a different TT at times like these, know that your Clara will never be replaced or eclipsed. She has left her paw prints on your heart and they’ll be there forever! But a new TT in which to bury your face will help you to grieve a little more gently.
